摘要
Vecuronium bromide was administered intravenously in 4 buffaloes of 3–3.5 yr of age weighing 250–300 kg at the dose rate of 40, 50 and 60 μg/kg b.wt (groups A, B and C, respectively) with a minimum gap of 10 days between the trials. Excellent muscle relaxation was recorded in groups B and C up to 15 min. Different physiological, haemodynamic and haematological parameters were within acceptable range in groups A and B. It was concluded that vecuronium bromide (50 μg/kg b.wt) provides adequate muscle relaxation without physiological, haemodynamic and haematological instability and found to be safe for use without assisted ventilation.
