Family of Self-Bias Circuits for Boost Derived Converters

A family of passive isolated self-bias circuits providing stabilized voltage for control circuit of boost derived converters with no dedicated controller is introduced. \nThis paper presents the basic principle of operation and describes extension of the concept to attain multiple bias outputs. \nThe theoretical predictions were verified by simulation. Experimental results obtained from a single-phase high power factor rectifier prototype support the proposition of the paper.
