•NAcc and vmPFC have resting-state dysfunctional connectivity within the reward circuit in BD.•FC between NAcc/vmPFC and right AIC can classify depressed, euthymic BD and HC.•NAcc/vmPFC-right AIC connectivity could be a neuroimaging endophenotype of BD.
