摘要
Aim. The aim of the study was to evaluate postural and stabilometric function in dental occlusion. Methods. The authors wanted to study the posture with information systems in a student population of 72 teenagers aged between 13 and 17 years. In such a group 8 students practiced competitive sports at the amateur level, 12 did not practice any sport, the remaining 52 had a moderate physical activity. The evaluation was performed either through a clinical trial or with both systems. The most significant structural modifications of our organism occur in this period of growth, both regarding the physiological preadolescent growth and the most incremental growth determined by sexual hormones. Furthermore, occlusal changes are considerable since the deciduous dentition has been completely replaced by permanent teeth. It is always around this time that children are frequently treated with orthodontics, both fixed and mobile, with consequent modification of the inter-maxillary and at this stage of growth they are physically active even at a competitive level. Conclusion. The study showed the close correlation between dental occlusion and posture and the correct treatment programs.
