The safety and efficacy of a novel hypo-fractionated total marrow and lymphoid irradiation before allogeneic stem cell transplantation for lymphoma and acute leukemia

•TBI is an important part of conditioning regimens in patients undergoing HSCT.•Myeloablative regimens delivering 12 Gy/6F were most commonly employed.•No uniform standard on the optimal dosage of TMI and segmentation.•Our results first showed TMLI (8–10 Gy/2F) could be an acceptable alternative with encouraging OS.
