摘要
•Ultra-light (0.1 g/cc) Al-SiC-MWCNT foam made by modified liquid metallurgy process.•Uniform dispersion of CNTs made by functionalization and mixing with SiC/Al powder.•Dispersion of CNTs and SiC were confirmed through microstructure and Raman Spectra.•Foam density (0.1 g/cc) achieved by controlling temperature and foaming agent.•Even with such low density, these foam exhibits plateau stress of 3.5 MPa.
