Abstract
Ag3PO4/CuO nanocomposites are produced using biological methods that use silver nitrate and copper oxide nanoparticles. Generally, physical or chemical methods are used in synthesizing nanoparticles. Here, instead of using these methods, an ecofriendly method, namely biological (green) method is used. The synthesized nanocomposites were characterized by XRD, UV spectroscopy, TEM, FTIR, TGA and fluorescence spectroscopy. The photoluminescence properties of the nanocomposite as solute in different solvents was measured as an application. The synthesized nanocomposites were dissolved in different solvents. From the fluorescence spectroscopy, the fluorescence and luminescence emission range and intensity were studied. The effect of various solvents on fluorescence emission can be determined by calculating the Quantum yield.
