Trust modeling based on probabilistic linguistic term sets and the MULTIMOORA method

•Adopt the probabilistic linguistic term sets (PLTS) as our trust scaling method.•Divide trust into multiple trustworthiness facets to solve the context-dependency.•Considering uncertainty and hesitancy of non-professional trustors when defining criteria weights.•Uncertainty, dynamic reliability and similarity are taken as weighted information.•We adopt the MULTIMOORA technique as decision-making method.
