Effect of Doped LBSCA on Sintering Characteristics and Dielectric Properties of MgNb2O6 Ceramics

In this paper, Low-loss MgNb 2 O 6 dielectric ceramics were compounded by solid-state method. The impacts of Li 2 O-B 2 O 3 -SiO 2 -CaO-Al 2 O 3 (LBSCA) dopant on the microstructure, density and microwave properties of MgNb 2 O 6 ceramics were studied. LBSCA dopants sintering temperature can be improved efficaciously of ceramics to 1000 °C with only a slight decrease in dielectric properties. In particular, sintering at 1000°C of 0.5 wt.% LBSCA-doped MgNb 2 O 6 ceramics has good microwave properties: ε r = 20.6, Q×f = 69,000 GHz, and τ f = -57.33 ppm/°C, and potential application of LTCC (low-temperature co-fired ceramics) candidate materials.
