P66 Exploring the Experiences and Health Needs of Young Womxn Living in Ontario, Canada: an Action-Oriented Study Dedicated to Interpersonal Reproductive Coercion
Contraception(2020)
摘要
Objectives: Reproductive coercion (RC) is a form of sexual violence characterized by behaviors that exert control and power over individuals’ reproductive health choices. Behaviors within the RC spectrum include contraception sabotage, abortion or pregnancy pressure, and intentional exposure to STIs. Young womxn* are at high risk of experiencing RC and often face a range of social barriers when accessing services. There is limited research that directly engages the perspectives of womxn in Canada who have experienced RC. Our research team aimed to explore womxn’s lived experiences with RC and identify ways to improve RC-related education, information, and services in Ontario, Canada.
