摘要
•Holocene periglacial soft-sediment deposits are precisely described.•Several areas of compressive deformation are evidenced in the Holocene deposits.•Soft-sediment deformations is periglacial in origin and not tectonic.•The south-Tunka fault remains inactive during the Holocene.•The Sayan, north-Tunka and Mondy faults are the major regional seismic hazard sources.
