Introduction: Previous studies suggested there may be an association between gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or use of anti-acid therapy (AAT) and progression of SSc-ILD. In the SENSCIS trial in patients with SSc-ILD, nintedanib reduced the rate of decline in FVC vs. placebo.
