INTERNATIONALIZATION IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CIENFUEGOS: A WAY FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF THE ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH MANAGEMENT

The internationalization of higher education contributes to international support, to the promotion and exchange of ideas at the national, university, and human development levels. Its most outstanding characteristics are the movability of students and professors and international cooperation through research projects and exported technical assistance. In the current circumstances of the development of Cuban universities, they are part of the strategy and the policy of each institution. The present work characterizes the internationalization process in the University of Cienfuegos, from the indicators movability of students and professors, insertion in international projects and the doctoral training of foreign students during the period 2010-2017. The fundamental results are related to the management of the main indicators of the internationalization process in the institution under study.
