Lenticulostriate Vasculopathy and Neurodevelopmental Outcomes in Preterm Infants: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Lenticulostriate vasculopathy (LSV), defined by linear echogenicities in the thalamus and basal ganglia on ultrasound, is a finding reported on 5-20% of screening cranial ultrasounds in preterm infants. However, its significance for predicting future neurodevelopmental outcomes is unclear.
