Plumeria pudica Jacq. flower extract - mediated silver nanoparticles: Characterization and evaluation of biomedical applications

•Silver nanoparticles were synthesized by Plumeria pudica Jacq. flower extract.•PP-AgNPs were characterized by various spectroscopic techniques.•PP-AgNPs were checked for their biomedical applications.•Highest ZOI was found against E. coli (16.33 ± 0.14 mm).•PP-AgNPs showed excellent anticancer activity against HepG2 cell line.•PP-AgNPs could be a novel drug for the treatment of cancer and mosquito control.
