Phase transformation of Ti-20 Zr-6 .5 Al-3 .5 V alloy

The effect of the aging temperatures , annealing temperatures and time on the phase transfor-mation and the relative amount of Ti-20Zr-6.5Al-3.5V alloy were studied by means of the differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction.Also, the mechanism of the phase transformation was discussed under differ-ent heat treatment conditions .The result indicated that aged below 700 ℃ the phase of alloys transformed asα″+β( metastable )→α+β, and at 450 ℃ aging ω( isothermal ) was precipitated and at 700 ℃ aging FCC structure was completely decomposed or/and transformed .With the annealing temperatures changing , the phase structures and relative amount of alloy were also changed .And the precipitation of FCC structure could suppress the βphase transforming to αphase .Meanwhile , annealing at 850 ℃, with annealing times increas-ing the content of βphase was higher .
