摘要
The paper is concerned with the spatial structure of the fast magnetoacoustic mode generated by the super-Alfvenic source moving on the magnetopause in one-dimensionally inhomogeneous model of the magnetosphere. The moving source generates the Mach cone expanding with the local Alfven speed. The Mach cone is reflected from the surface where the local Mach number equals one. This surface can be coined as the reflection surface. Then, the Mach cone expands outside and reflects from the magnetopause. Reflections from the reflection surface and the magnetopause lead to turning the Mach cone into the curved polyline.
