摘要
•Fluid flow in stenotic geometries was studied using PIV system and a numerical method.•Steady flow is studied in both case of 50%, 75% diameter reduction.•The 75% diameter reduction is a critical case for aortic wall damage•Pulsed flow was studied for the case of 75% Diameter reduction for 60, 69, and 90 beats per minute.•High values of wall shear stress in 75% stenosis diameter reduction are indicators of possible future aortic wall damage.
