摘要

•The overall prevalence of Bordetella species among the study participants was 30.3%.•The most detected species were B. pertussis (41.7%) and indeterminate B. pertussis (57.1%).•Odds of infection were 3.02 times higher in children aged 6–9 years.•Odds of infection were increased 1.22 times in children who had an illiterate mother.
