Noninvasive scalp recording of the middle latency responses and cortical auditory evoked potentials in the alert common marmoset

•Auditory evoked potentials (AEP) were recorded noninvasively in the marmoset monkey.•Candidate homologues of the human middle latency responses were identified.•Candidate homologues of the human cortical AEP were also identified.•The peak latencies of the marmoset AEP were generally shorter than in humans.
