Influence of vitamin E, tryptophan and β-glucan on growth performance, meat quality, intestinal immunity, and antioxidative status of yellow-feathered chickens fed thermally oxidized oils

•The dietary incorporation of oxidized soy oil (OSO) was tested in growing chickens.•Dietary OSO did not exert negative effects on growth traits or meat quality.•The supplementation of VE, tryptophan and β-glucan did not show notable benefits.•The OSO can be used successfully up to 7% of the finisher diet of growing chickens.
