Abstract
Introduction: King's College Hospital is a Level 1 trauma centre serving an inner-city area with a high incidence of knife and gun violence. The hospital also forms the hub for the SELKAM (South East London, Kent and Medway) trauma network. A total of 15,023 knife crime offences were recorded in London in the year to June 2019 – the highest on record.
