摘要

•The vibrational spectra of calix[4]arene and thiacalix[4]arenes with azobenzene units having carboxylate groups in the para and meta position were studied.•Normal mode analysis were performed for calix[4]arenes.•The IR and Raman spectra of p-carboxylatothiacalix[4]arene with azobenzene groups were interpreted.
