Recent debris-flow activity on the 1913 Tsivlos landslide body (Northern Peloponnese; Greece)

•First study in the Eastern Mediterranean reconstructing debris flows in a landslide body.•Shallow landslides and channel avulsions lead to dynamic spatial patterns.•The annual occurrence of events since 2014 was determined from tree-ring records.•Debris flow activity was compared with rain gauge data and climate reanalyses.•Interdecadal variability of extreme 3- and 5-day rainfalls affects debris flow dynamics.
