摘要
•Celecoxib augmentation to vortioxetine was not shown to be beneficial in major depression.•Our data do not support the use of anti-inflammatory augmentation in treatment-resistant depression.•Depressive symptom severity was reduced at 6 weeks in this cohort of vortioxetine-treated individuals.•Cognitive and functioning symptoms was reduced in this cohort of vortioxetine-treated individuals.•Higher levels of C-reactive protein did not predict response to celecoxib augmentation.
