•Lamin A gene is deregulated in non muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) tissues both at the mRNA and protein levels.•Lamin A protein and mRNA expression levels’ could significantly discriminate NMIBC patients from healthy controls•Reverse Lamin A mRNa and protein expression’s trends were underscored.•Lamin A protein and mRNA expression’s deregulation were associated to urothelial tumorigenesis’ onset•Deregulated A-type Lamin could serve as an early diagnostic tool for NMIBC
