In order to obtain an ultrasonic transducer (UT) with ultra-broad bandwidth (BW), a multilayer stairstep piezoelectric structure (MSPS) is designed and fabricated. Based on the theoretical computation, the relationship between the resonant frequency and thickness of the piezoelectric layer is obtained.
