Highlighting Selected Research Conducted in Older Patients Presented at the 23rd European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer (2021): Young International Society of Geriatric Oncology Report.

The World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer 2021 organized by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is the largest annual gathering for professionals caring for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the congress was held virtually this year. Despite the online platform, 3200 attendees from 100 countries have participated, and about 50 oral presentations and 300 posters were presented. Here, we summarize the highlights presented in the field of geriatric oncology.
