Rapid High Throughput Assay For Identification Of Animal Species Based On Nucleic Acid Isolation Using Magnetic Beads

A conventional PCR and a real-time fluorescence PCR (RT-PCR) technique were established for identification of animal species. The RT-PCR method is rapid, sensitive and highly specific. Compared with extraction of DNA from samples using commercial kits, extraction of DNA using magnetic beads has some advantages. The combination of DNA isolation by magnetic beads and RT-PCR technique provides a rapid high throughput method for identification of animal species.
