A Revised Polarimetric Calibration Method For Gf-3 Sar With Active Radar Transponder

Active radar calibrators are used to derive both the amplitude and phase characteristics of a multichannel polarimetric SAR from the complex image data, which play a key role in many remote sensing applications. China's first quad-polarized space-borne SAR GF-3 was launched in August 2016. GF-3 SAR system calibration has been performed by Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IECAS) and China Centre For Resource Satellite Data and Application (CRESDA). Based on classical method. A revised polarimetric calibration method is proposed and obtained accept calibration results, which will give valuable recommendations for further transponder's design.
