Csic Interdisciplinary Thematic Platform To Address The Challenge Of Urban Mobility: Pti Mobility 2030

Based on the concept of mission, and aligned with the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDA), the interdisciplinary thematic platforms (ITPs) have been consolidated at CSIC since their launch in 2018 into public-private collaboration instruments to respond from research and innovation to the challenges demanded by society joining forces with companies and public and private entities. This special issue of the Boletin del Grupo Espanol del Carbon of December 2020 is dedicated to the PTI Mobility 2030, which aims to address the challenge of mobility in cities and make it more sustainable and healthy, increasing the quality of life of citizens. In five articles, researchers from groups integrated in the PTI, from different disciplines, present some of the key challenges faced today to reduce emissions, improve air quality, manage multimodal mobility and advance clean energy generation, storage and supply solutions in the cities of the next decade; and they also describe innovative solutions developed at CSIC to address them.
