摘要
The primary objective of this perspective study was to assess the efficacy and tolerability of acyclovir i.v. versus os in the treatment of herpetic manifestations in patients with Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection (HIV+). We randomly administered 800 mg x 5 daily/os and 750 mg t.i.d. i.v. to all HIV+ patients who underwent our observation with evidence of herpetic manifestations. No difference was observed regard the efficacy and the mean time of resolution of herpetic manifestations between the two groups. Most relapses were observed in the patients treated with acyclovir 800 mg x 5/daily/os.
