EFFICACY OF HYPERLIPOPROTEINEMIA(A) CASCADE SCREENING IN FH PATIENTS

Background and Aims: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is the second most common monogenic cause of inherited lipid metabolism disorders after elevated lipoprotein(a) level [hyperLp(a)]. FH cascade screening is an effective method of diagnosing this disease and is recommended for each index case. The effectiveness of hyperLp(a) cascade screening was still under-researched. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of cascade hyperLp(a) screening in patients with FH.
