Contemporary Software Engineering Education (SEE) faces new challenges because Internet technologies play a vital role in educating today's software engineers. Software engineering involves People, Interaction and Technology (PIT); this creates an overwhelming situation for instructional delivery in which the results of traditional methods for teaching and learning has limited effectiveness. This paper analyzes major aspects of software engineering: people, interaction and technology, and furthers the aim to identify the necessary ingredients, so as to build a tangible course delivery platform that improves teaching practices. The proficient educator will utilize Internet technologies to meet this challenge. It is concluded that based on networking technologies and applications, SEE will not only survive, but succeed and thrive through PIT.
