•Majority of pediatric MOG-AD patients were highly responsive to glucocorticoid.•Most of peadiatric MOGAD got clinical recovery within 1 month after glucocorticoid treatment.•Most peadiatric patients with MOG-AD manifest a benign prognosis.•Some peadiatric patients with MOG-AD endure neurological sequelae.•Visual dysfunction is the most common neurological sequelae.
