StUARt Andrews (right) has been appointed as veterinary manager for Pfizer Poultry Health for the UK and Ireland. the position is newly created following Pfizer’s acquisition of Fort Dodge. Dr Andrews began his career with the State Veterinary Service at Bristol and Penrith, before moving to the Central Veterinary Laboratory in weybridge. He obtained an MSc in immunology from the University of Surrey. In 1990, he joined the research team at Pitman-Moore, becoming involved in research on coccidiosis vaccines for poultry, gaining a PhD from Leeds university in 1999. He has worked for Pfizer since 2004 and, in his research for the company, has worked with pig and poultry vaccines on a european scale. doi: 10.1136/vr.d1004
