摘要

•A C12-pyridine containing steroid was synthesized to inhibit P450 8B1.•The C12-pyridine substituted steroid was based on the same strategy of how abiraterone was designed, an inhibitor for P450 17A1.•Inhibitor treatment in mice showed attenuation of glucose intolerance in mice fed a high fat high sucrose diet.
