摘要
The antikaon-nucleon interaction close to threshold provides crucial information on the interplay between spontaneous and explicit chiral symmetry breaking in low-energy QCD involving strangeness. The unique feature of DAONE, namely the production of low-energy kaons, has led to a series of successfully conducted experiments with light kaonic atoms like SIDDHARTA, where the most precise value for the antikaon-proton scattering length was determined. Kaonic deuterium X-ray spectroscopy is still missing and with SIDDHARTA-2 the ground state 1s-level shift and width should be measured with a precision of 30 eV and 75 eV, respectively.
