Impact of lemborexant treatment on insomnia severity: analyses from a 12-month study of adults with insomnia disorder

•Lemborexant treatment reduces insomnia severity for at least 12 months, the time of the last assessment.•Lemborexant improves disease severity for as long as 12 months in patients with moderate or severe insomnia.•Lemborexant treatment produces long-term remission rates.•As early as 1 month, there were significantly higher percentages of responders and remitters with lemborexant versus placebo.
