Separation of nordihydrocapsiate from capsiate and major capsaicinoid analogues using ultra high performance liquid chromatography

•First report of successfully separating and quantifying nordihydrocapsiate from capsiate.•UHPLC method was validated for analysis of capsaicinoids and capsinoids from peppers.•Five major capsaicinoids and three major capsinoids can be simultaneously quantified by the developed method in 5 min.
