The Application Of The Duffing Oscillator To Detect Electromagnetic Leakage Emitted By HDMI Cables

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cables could emit EM (Electromagnetic) leakage when transmitting video signals, such that it could cause sensitive information leak-age, leading to a severe security threat. However, the radio signals are too weak to be detected due to the complex electromagnetic environment. Therefore, we propose a novel non-linear detection method based on the Duffing oscillator, which is immune to noises and sensitive to periodic signals, and can even detect signals with very low SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio). In this paper, we first verify this method through simulation. Then this method would be applied to real signal detection in a shielded room. Overall, we achieve detecting real signals and successfully verify this method.
