Qualidade de vida e o nível de depressão entre os adolescentes de um colégio militar

This article sought to assess and correlate Quality of Life and Depression among adolescents at a Military College in a city in the State of Goias. This is a survey with a sample of 219 students, with an average age of 16.52 ± 0,97 years. It used two questionnaires: the pediatric Quality of Life questionnaire - PedsQL, and the Beck Depression Scale. the quality of life scores were between 70.98% and 84.36%. For the symptoms of depression, 27.9% had mild depression and 13.7% had moderate depression. There was a negative correlation between Quality of life and depression, in which the higher the depression score the less satisfied they were with health (r-0.46), with the social environment (r-0.48) and with the environment in that they live together r (-0.37). Most of the students evaluated had a good QOL and the higher the depression scores, the less satisfied they were with their quality of life.
