Improved Long Term Survival Following Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunts Performed in Teaching Hospitals: A Population-Based Study
Social Science Research Network(2018)
摘要
Background: Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) treats portal hypertension in patients with decompensated cirrhosis. Hospital teaching status is predictive of outcomes following complex procedures. Currently, its impact on outcomes following TIPS is unknown. The aim of this study was to determine the association between hospital teaching status and long-term survival in patients with cirrhosis receiving TIPS.
