Effects of the Ethanol Extract of Rheum Officinale in Vitro on the An ti-HBV

Objective To evaluate the anti-HBV effect of the Chinese herb complex priscription alcohol extract of Rheum Officinale in laboratory. Methods Congenitally infected ducklings were used as animal model. The standard of DHB V-DNA in serum were observed at different time. The cell 2.2.15 line was taken a s cell model. The surpression effect of alcohol extract of Rheum Officinale HBsA g and HBeAg were observed. Results In the animal model, the standard of DHBV-DN A in serum got down markedly after 10 days alcohol extract of Rheum Officinale a dministration (P0.01). But it was a bit up in the third day of stopping of alco hol extract of Rheum Officinale administration(P3),but the standard of P3 is low er than T0 and T5; In the cell model, alcohol extract of Rheum Officinale to HBs Ag:TI was 16.96; alcohol extract of Rheum Officinale to HBeAg:TI is 12.06. Concl usion The anti-HBV effects of alcohol extract of Rheum Officinale effect of is notable both in vitro and in vivo.
