Preparation, Structure Elucidation, and Cytotoxic Activity of Amide Derivatives of Hydroxysydonic Acid

摘要
Hydroxysydonic acid ( 1 ), a naturally abundant bisabolane sesquiterpenoid metabolite, has been obtained from the endophytic fungus Aspergillus versicolor isolated from Elaeocarpus decipiens Hemsl. To increase its pharmacological potential, seven new amide derivatives 1a – 1g were semisynthesized and elucidated. All of the compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic and antifouling activities. Compound 1a was found to show cytotoxic activity against gastric carcinoma cell line (HGC-27) with an IC 50 value of 9.72 μg/mL.
