Trace-element compositions of sulfides from inactive Tianzuo hydrothermal field, Southwest Indian Ridge: Implications for ultramafic rocks hosting mineralization

•The Tianzuo is the first confirmed ultramafic-hosted sulfide field along SWIR.•Sulfide precipitates in Tianzuo field include high- and low-temperature two phases.•Serpentinization predominately controlls the sulfide mineralization for both phases.•Gabbroic intrusions prabably promoted the high-temperature sulfide mineralization.
