•Purest forms of arsenopyrite are reported from Boula-Nuasahi ultramafic complex, India.•As and S show a clear negative correlation according to the substitution FeAs1-xS1+x..•Temperatures were estimated to be 335 to 425 °C using arsenopyrite geothermometry.•Arsenopyrite geothermometry can be applied for low-temperature hydrothermal mineralizations.
