Phytofabrication of titanium-silver alloy nanoparticles (Ti-AgNPs) by Cola nitida for biomedical and catalytic applications

•The first report of biofabrication of Ti-AgNPs by aqueous extracts of different parts of Cola nitida.•The Ti-AgNPs effectively inhibited growth of multi-drug resistant clinical bacterial isolates and fungi.•In synergy, Ti-AgNPs for the first time improved antibacterial activity of gentamicin by 33.33–66.67% on drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.•The Ti-AgNPs had excellent scavenging activities on DPPH and H2O2, as it also degraded malachite green.•The first report of anticoagulant activity of Ti-AgNPs on human blood.
