摘要
•This study used EQ-5D-5L to assess changes in the quality of life (QOL) of Japanese patients with MDD receiving antidepressant treatment for 6 months.•Although QOL in multiple dimensions of the EQ-5D-5L improved in patients with MDD over time, improvement in usual activities, pain/discomfort, and anxiety/depression at month 6 did not fully resolve. Therefore, patients with MDD may require more treatment time (>6 months) to achieve remission in QOL.•Multivariate linear regression analysis found that cognitive complaints or history of MDD at baseline predicted less improvement in QOL as evaluated with the EQ-5D-5L utility score and EuroQoL visual analog scale.
