摘要
•Two-step pulse electrodeposition was applied to prepare bimetallic photoanodes.•Cu nanoparticle size was optimized by tuning electrodeposition cycle times.•Reducing electrolyte concentration can effectively decrease deposition density.•Both XPS and LSV confirm that bimetal is less prone to oxidation than monometal.•Bimetallic system has a large potential drop of Helmholtz layer simulated by MD.
